used by the Rotman International Trading Competition (RITC).
The RITC is an annual event held in the heart of
Canada's financial district, downtown Toronto. Hosted by the Rotman School of Management
at the University of Toronto, the
competition
brings teams of students and faculty from
universities worldwide to participate in a unique 3 day conference.

Designed and developed the entire ordering (shopping cart) portion of a Medical Electronic Catalog
application for a government agency. This application is a Web-based ordering, distribution, and
payment system providing a number of Federal agencies access to multiple medical manufacturer and distributor
commercial catalogs at discounted prices. This application also automated the entire customer procurement cycle - from
searching for products, to creating reorder lists, to submitting an order, to approving an order,
to receiving and paying for an order.
Designed and developed a Windows console application that can download and upload files from a variety
of upload and download hosts using the secure ftp protocol.
Developed a French-version of an Intranet web site (Source Online at http://pioneer.gmacmc.com) for
GMAC Commercial Mortgage that
serves as a daily source of news about the happenings and events at GMAC Commercial Mortgage.
Upgraded a GMAC Commercial Mortgage (GMACCM) Windows-based Microsoft Excel application that is used
to manage the data displayed on the Investor Query (IQ) website. The IQ website provides basic
information and reporting to investors for CMBS (Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities) transactions
serviced by GMACCM. This application communicated with the IQ website using Web Services.
Upgraded a GMAC Commercial Mortgage CMSA (Commercial Mortgage Securities Association) reporting system,
so that it complies with the CMSA standards for investor reporting on CMBS (Commercial Mortgage Backed
Securities) transactions. The work invloved for this project consisted of writing T-SQL
scripts and stored procedures for remapping existing data categories for over thousands of loans to
new ones specified by the new standard.
Designed and developed a web-based Software Bug Tracking application (www.TeamCommand.com) for
Vivisoft. Along with this, developed a Windows tray-based application that supported a subset of
the site’s functionality. This tray-based application communicated with the Bug Tracking web server
via web services and contained an application auto-update feature.
Designed and developed a web-based project management tracking system. Some of the
functionality incorporated into the site consisted of: the
screens and related functionality for adding, modifying, and deleting projects, deliverables, tasks,
customers, and employees; the screens and related functionality for timesheet-entry by employees
assigned to a project; and, a half-dozen management reports.
Designed and developed a web-based application called SPx for an e-Business Application Service Provider.
This application was a complete e-Business Support System for service
providers and corporate data centers. With SPx, Service Providers and Corporate
Data Centers were able to simultaneously sell, deliver, and manage virtually any Internet and
communications product or service. Some of the functionality developed for this application
included: Instant and Managed Provisioning,
Order Tracking, Recurring Billing, SSL Integration, Multiple payment options, E-mail notifications,
Searchable FAQ and Knowledgebase system, Trouble Ticketing System, Inventory Management,
Monitoring, Reporting, Customer Administration, Automated purchasing and fulfillment,
Dynamic promotions and discounts, Integration with Credit Card Processors, and Category and Product
data management.
Designed and developed an interactive selling, provisioning and management web site for AT&T. Using this site,
web customers could purchase hosting services and, upon successful completion of the purchasing process,
get immediate access to the hosting server.
Designed and developed e-Commerce applications for the following clients: Curtis-Young
(http://commerce.curtis-young.com), Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (http://www.gpcc.com),
Rittenhouse Book Publishers (http://www.rittenhouse.com), Efollett, Lucent SSG, KYW 1060,
National Dance Studio, Eye On Africa, Perkin-Elmer
(http://www.buy-instruments.com), and Furnace Creek. All these e-Commerce sites incorporated the
following basic functionality: product selection, shopping cart,
transaction processing including credit card processing and inventory adjustments, and
back-office administration.
Assisted in developing a browser-based Intranet Editorial and Production System application that
automated and streamlined many of the tasks associated with editing and producing a publication.
Developed an electronic commerce site for www.wineaccess.com.
Developed a Windows-based application
for The Vanguard Group that allowed Vanguard to create customized financial statements for its
institutional clients.
Designed and developed a number of turn-key, industrial-related
application projects from inception to installation for Accu-Sort Systems, a manufacturer of automatic bar
code readers and systems.
